Monique Angelle Arnoult Owen, born on March 29, 1963, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on November 26, 2024, in Slidell, Louisiana. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many around her. Monique was known to some as Nicki or Nicki Boo.
She was the cherished daughter of Gary and Wray Arnoult, both of whom have preceded her in death. She is survived by her sweetheart Mark Owen. Her much-loved daughter, Mia Owen Rochon, and son-in-law, David Rochon. Her beloved daughter, Malia Owen Cook, and son-in-law, Matthew Cook. Monique was proud of her family, especially her granddaughter, Remy Jobert. Monique was known to Remy as Hunny. Remy gave her Hunny immense joy and laughter throughout her life. She is also survived by her sister, Patrice Arnoult. These two were the best of friends and experienced much of life together. They took care of each other. Monique’s legacy will continue through her family, who will remember her for her unwavering love and support. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the rich memories she has left behind for all who knew her. Monique will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will forever remain in their hearts.
Services are planned for this Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. Please join us to celebrate the wonderful life of Monique. We will celebrate her life on the day she was born, her birthday. We will be gathering to share our favorite memories, followed by brunch served in her honor. If you cannot make the memorial, please send a note. We would love to hear from you.
