Mildred Doles Lupo, resident of Mandeville/Lacombe passed away peacefully at Forest Manor Nursing Home on January 23, 2023. Mildred was born in Jones, Louisiana to Willis F. and Seabelle Doles. She is preceded in death by her two brothers W.F. Jr and Leon Doles and three sisters Carmen Grandstaff, Fannie B. Lea and Peggy Drude. Also preceded by her husband Joseph D. Lupo, son Charles Lupo (Joanie), grandson David Pechon and daughter in law Mari Kay Lupo. She is survived by her children Leonard (Mari Kay), Bella, John (Susan), Tom, Virginia and Patrick (Dana). She had eighteen grandchildren, Elysia, Daniel, Millie Kay, Laura, Christopher, Trishia, Michelle, John, Joshua, Jeffrey, Whitney, Mark, Maddie, Ladah’, Emily, Stephen, Nathan, and Chrissy, as well as fifteen great grandchildren.
Mildred attended LSU where she met her husband Joe and eventually married and moved to Independence, LA. She helped Joe start his law practice as well as started her own private bookkeeping, tax and notary service. In 1975 she moved to Mandeville, LA where she continued her practice. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was fondly nicknamed Go-Go Grandma. She loved the outdoors, garage sales and cats.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home at 75212 Lee (Hwy 437) Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. with the Memorial Mass at noon.
