Michael Reis Sr.

Michael (Mike) Bernard Reis, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the age of 68.  Michael is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Carol Langlois Reis.  Loving father of Gina Reis Theobold (Glenn) and Michael (Mickey) B Reis Jr. (Mandy); 5 grandchildren whom he loved dearly Lauren and Lainie Theobold, Gabi, Channing and Cory Reis; 1 great grandchild Seren Reis. Michael is also survived by 1 brother Philip Reis Jr. and 1 sister June Porcuna.  Preceded in death by his parents Philip Sr. and Bernadine Reis, 1 sister Bernadine (Cissy) Fairchild and 1 brother Melvin Reis, Sr.  Michael spent his career as a Shipfitter/Pipefitter/Welder. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children, nephews and late mother-in-law, Shirley.  He enjoyed going to the Casinos, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Born in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish.  He moved and lived in Picayune since Katrina.  Michael is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed.
