Michael Kenneth Jurina age 63, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 with his loving wife Renee by his side at home in Franklinton, LA after a long illness. He is the son of Mike Jurina and Norma Hamilton, born in Salem, Ohio.
Michael met his loving wife, Renee Larsen of Kissimmee, Fl. and they settled in Louisiana where Michael worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Orleans Parish and later as a Special Investigator for the District Attorney office in Orleans Parish. He retired in 2015 due to his illness.
Michael Jurina was a special person that made an impact on everyone he met and mentored throughout his life. Michael loved his dogs, " his four legged children ", guns and 1950’s and 60’s rock n roll.
He is survived by his wife Renee Jurina, and his four beloved dogs.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 2pm at Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 S. Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA.
