Melvin Glass Sr

Melvin Ray Glass, Sr. passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in Covington, LA at the age of 60. He was born on Friday, October 22, 1954 in Madisonville, LA to the late Mary Louis Motichek and Ernest L. Glass, Sr.
Melvin is survived by his children, Melvin Ray Glass, Jr. (Shane) and Brian Philip Glass (Jessica); grandchildren, Maren Eve, Kathlyn Grace, Laurelyn Hope, Brenynn Joy, Gavin Michael, Payton Wyatt, and Aleah Lynn Glass; step daughter, Laurie Beth Mathies; step grandson, Caden Culotta; siblings, Butch Glass, Dennis C. Glass (Julie), Perry "BooBoo" Glass, and Vicky "Pork Chop" Glass Crow.
Preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Mary M. and Cecil "PeeWee" Haggard; his father, Ernest L. Glass, Sr.; and brother, Donald Wayne Glass, Sr.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Melvin was owner/operator of M. Glass Concrete for 30 years. He was an avid sportsman who never met a stranger. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed dearly. We will always hold his memory close in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services in the chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time.
Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery, Madisonville, LA.
