Marvin Rodriguez

Marvin Patrick Rodriguez passed away at the age of 57 on Friday, September 16th, 2022.

Marvin was born December 28th, 1964 to Adolphus and Audrey Rodriguez and was a lifelong resident of Folsom, La.

He his preceeded in death by his father and mother, Adolphus and Audrey Rodriguez and brother LaMarca “ Mark” Rodriguez.

He his survived by his brother and sisters, Stephen Rodriguez, Gwendolyn Gibson and Rachell Rodriguez, as well as his nephew Gregory Gibson (Rebecca) and their children Destanie, Leah, Elijah and Hannah Gibson.

While attending Covington High, Marvin found great passion in playing for the Fighting Lions. Later in life, he found that same passion in cooking while serving the local and surrounding communities.

Marvin was a good man who lived a simple life. He would have given the shirt off his back or the last bite of a meal to a friend in need and found soft ways to give the difficult advice sometimes necessary. It was hard to catch him without a smile on his face, even at work.

Marvin’s time on earth was short by our standards, yet largely impactful to those around him. He was loved greatly and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
