Marion Lucille Reiling, Born January 18, 1927 entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2022. "Aunt Pat" as she was affectionately called. She was a retired Registered Nurse. She started her career at Illinois Central Hospital in New Orleans. She also assisted with surgeries at the Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital also in New Orleans. She retired from St. Tammany Parish Hospital as the Director of Surgery Department. Aunt Pat was a true angel of mercy as her role model was Mother Teresa Aunt Pat will be remembered for compassion selflessness and joyful young spirit. She was a devoted Parishioner at St. Leo the Great Parish in New Orleans and St. Benedict Parish in Covington. especially close to her heart were the Carmelite Nuns. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Annie Martin and Wilmuth Reiling, Siblings Eddie Reiling, Wallace (Ruth) Reiling, Irma (Eugene) Cossich and Nieces Judy Cantrell and Katherine Reiling. Pat is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Billy (Barbara), David (Connie) Cossich, Chris Cossich and her Godson Gene, Larry (Janet) Reiling Gloria (Duke) Cossich, Patricia (Renan) Cuevas and Sandra Reiling. As well as her great nieces and nephews Genger, Trinity, Raven, Chance and Kailyn.
Services will be held on August 26, 2022 at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church at 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, La 70402. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass is to be at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial at Garden District Cemetery 75161 La-21 Covington, La. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate her life. Aunt Pat was a true angel and will be truly missed, loved and will never be forgotten.
