Margarita Torres Moreno Eason

July 28,1942 - September 8, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Margarita Torres Moreno Eason, who gained her angel wings on September 8, 2024, at the age of 82, after living a beautiful life.

Margarita was born on July 28, 1942 in Sevilla, Spain to her mother, Salud Torres Moreno Falcones. At the age of 11, she began to pursue her passion for dance and music. She graduated from Conservatorio Profesional De Musica y Declamacion De Sevilla and later went on to become a professional Flamenco dancer. She performed in several countries across Spain, on international cruise ships, and even performed in front of dignitaries to include former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Former Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly.

In 1964, she met the love of her life, Airforce Major John W. Eason while he was stationed in Spain as a pilot. They got married in 1965 in Gilbraltar, Spain and shortly after moved to the United States, where they built a beautiful life in Montgomery, Alabama; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Birmingham, Alabama; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and finally Slidell, Louisiana, where they spent the last years of their life together.

Among her favorite things were spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; decorating for Christmas and hosting Christmas parties; traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennesse to watch the change in season; visiting Las Vegas, Nevada; planning cruises, and going to the beach.

Margarita was an active member of the Foreign Born Wives Club that brought women from all over the globe for civic duty, service, and friendship. She was known for her love of life and travel, beautiful spirit, tremendous love of her family and of her many friends. She was the heart of our family, the life of the party, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Margarita was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John “Bill” William Eason.

She is survived by her loving family including her 2 daughters: Maria Elena Buelle and Christina Eason-Finnin and Husband, Ian Finnin. She was known as “Yaya” to 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Grandchildren: Christopher Derek Buelle; Sabrina Buelle Perez and Husband, Bryce Michael Perez, Declan Eason Finnin, and Liam Thomas Finnin. Great Grandchildren: Brendyn William Buelle and Emerson Blake Perez.

She will forever be remembered by how she touched all of our lives with her spirit, grace, and laughter. Let us find peace and comfort that she is now reunited with her beloved husband, mother, and heavenly father.
