Margaret Flynn

d. April 14, 2020

Margaret “Tina” Flynn, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday April 14, 2020.  She was a recent resident of Mandeville Louisiana, but she spent the happiest years of her life raising her children and attending soccer games in Poughkeepsie, New York, once Bill and Kyle had left the nest Tina and Jim enjoyed their retirement years in Debary, Florida.  Tina is survived by her children; her sons, Billy (Melanie) Flynn and Kyle (Jessica) Flynn; her step sons; Jim (Kathy) Flynn, Michael (Mary Ann) Flynn, and Edward (Jayne) Flynn, her grandchildren, Billy, Makalah, Mark, Alexandria, Emma, Sean, Brayden, Kylie, Jimmy, Janelle, Johnny, Dorothy and Ryan Nicholas, and Dylan.  She is predeceased by her husband, Jim Flynn; step son Joseph Flynn, and her mother, Marge Meadows. Tina was born in Boyton Beach, Florida on January 8, 1955.  She graduated from Atlantic High School, located in Delray Beach Florida.  Following her graduation, she went on to achieve her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. On October 20, 1979 she married Jim Flynn and then had Billy and Kyle, respectively, on March 27, 1981 and September 19 1985. Tina spent her life caring for others as a LPN and in home care giver, and took incredible pride in caring for others.  She was a devoted mother.  She lived for her boys and was a fixture at the soccer field for over twenty years while “Billy” and Kyle navigated through the teams.  She loved life and traveling.  She never met a stranger, and she would strike up a conversation with anyone.  She had a giant spirit that never fit into her tiny 4’ 10” frame and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family plans on having a memorial service in the fall in New York.
