Lynn Jude Naquin

October 17, 1950 — October 27, 2024

Bay St. Louis, Mississippi

Lynn Jude Naquin, a resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Lynn was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Alex Johnston and Henrietta Johnston on October 17, 1950.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents Alex and Henny Johnston as well as her brother Donald and sister Theresa.

She is remembered by her loving husband Emile (Cookie) Naquin of 54 years, her children Nicole Naquin and Jayme (William) Moulton. Her siblings Edward “Buddy” Johnston (Shirley), Judith “Judy” Comeaux, Patsy (Lloyd) Morrow, Charlie (Zack) Guzman and grandchildren Kamryn, Kadyn, Ryunn, and Kole. She is also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and friends that she adopted as her own.

Lynn was a proud supporter of ORCA, and LSU health Foundation. Lynn was also a cancer advocate for ovarian cancer and a camper and volunteer for Camp Mak-A-Dream. She proudly taught women about early detection of ovarian cancer. She held annual fundraisers called the “Teal Tea” to support women who were diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She raised over one hundred thousand dollars in the last three years to help women who could not afford things beyond their means during treatment.

Lynn was a very colorful woman having worked in the beauty industry for 42 years being a color specialist with her own salons as well as working with many talented hairdressers for Wella Corporation traveling all over the world.

We would like to thank all of the caregivers that took care of Lynn throughout her journey. They became part of the family.

For those who wish to attend services, we ask that you wear something colorful. As of late her favorite color was Teal because it represented ovarian cancer, but she loved all of them.

A Memorial service is scheduled on Friday, November 8, 2024 in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 HWY 437 Covington, LA 70435. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Lynn‘s memory to the LSU Health Foundation. Funds will be donated to the gynecologic oncology fund at LSU Health New Orleans.
