Lynda McArdle Douglas, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, surrounded by family, and went to be with her Lord at the age of 77 years. Born in New Orleans on August 27th, 1946, Lynda was predeceased by her husband Daniel C. Douglas, Jr., her parents Owen McArdle and Adele Brummet McArdle, as well as her brother Owen J. McArdle.
Lovingly remembered by daughters Shannon Douglas Hudson (Christopher) and Shantel Douglas Bagnell (Lloyd), as well as sons Shane Douglas (Brittany) and Shay Douglas (Nanci). She leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren, Christian Hudson (Jordan), Payton Hudson(Isabelle), Nathan Bagnell, Aubrey Bagnell, Marley Douglas, Mac Douglas, and great-granddaughter Murphy Hudson. Sister of Gaynell Nelson, Karen Monk (Ray) and Adele Jeffreys (Mike). She will be missed by many close family and friends.
Lynda retired as a registered Nurse from East Jefferson General Hospital. Most of her spare time was devoted to her love for her grandchildren. She was also a long-time animal lover; she was a long-term volunteer at Northshore Humane Society in Covington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, beginning at 10:00am, with a funeral mass to follow at 12:00pm. Msgr. William Bilinsky will be the celebrant. Interment will be at Bagnell & Sons Funeral Home at 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Northshore Humane Society.
