Louie (Bud) Felix Polkey Jr. of Slidell, Louisiana passed away March 13 2024 at the age of 82. Bud was born in Westwego, LA to Louie Felix Polkey and Ella Mae Camardelle.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louie Felix Polkey and Ella Mae Camardelle, and Son-in-law Mike Giroux.
He is survived by: His Children and their spouses; Donna Polkey, Louis (Buddy) Polkey, Celeste Giroux, Amanda Polkey, Shantelle Dozier/ Wesley, Louie (Louis) Polkey, Rochelle Polkey, Christopher Polkey. The mothers of his children; Rose Guidry Polkey and Sonya Kerwin. His siblings; Louella Foor, Donald Polkey, Roselus Polkey, Carlos Stephen Polkey, Louis Timothy Polkey, Felix Miguel Polkey, Deidre Jeanne Polkey; along with 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Bud loved traveling the roads visiting with life long customers and friends made in the seafood industry. Enjoying time with children and grandchildren. Spending his off days playing poker at the casino. In his final years, he spent his time feeding the birds. catching a sunrise or sunset, and stopping to smell the roses.
The family would like to thank St Joseph Hospice for their kindness, guidance, caring staff, and end of life support; Neighbors who have loved and helped to care for him (Dave and Stephanie, Bob, Jason and Cassie, Tom, and Randy); and all of the additional support received from loved ones and friends.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a service on Friday March 22, 2024 at 1:15 p.m. at Saint Anthony Church in Luling, Louisiana; with an interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery 1279 Paul Maillard Rd Luling, LA (https://www.google.com/maps/search/1279+Paul+Maillard+Rd+Luling,+LA?entry=gmail&source=g )
Following the services, a Celebration of Life will be held at Le Venue St Charles 193 Scorpio St Hahnville LA (https://www.google.com/maps/search/St+Charles%C2%A0193+Scorpio+St%C2%A0Hahnville+LA?entry=gmail&source=g ) at 4:30pm.
