Lorraine Alvarez Gabriel
Our loving Mom passed away on September 6, 2017, at the age of 87. She died peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with chronic illnesses. She was a resident of New Orleans currently residing in Pearl River, LA. She joins our Dad, Michael J. Gabriel, lll; parents, Elsie C. Alvarez and John Alvarez; and sisters, Elsie A. Flott and Emelda A. Diliberto in their heavenly home. She is survived by her children; Michael J. Gabriel lV, Steven G. Gabriel, Lynn Gabriel Marino (Richard) and Lori Gabriel Summerhalter; grandchildren, Shelly Gabriel Foley, Stephanie Marino Galliano (Martin), Brad Michael Gabriel, Anthony Gabriel and Brittany Summerhalter; great grandchildren, Corrine, Courtney, Caroline and Cade Foley, Jaylynn Gabriel, Mia and Jeremy Galliano; sisters, Alberta A. Gabriel and Mildred A. Thibodeaux; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no service as per her request. She will be interred alongside our Dad where he will again welcome her into his loving arms. She has longed for that embrace for forty nine long years. She is home, at last.
