Lois Quave Taylor passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born September 3, 1926 in
Covington, LA to the late John Rudolph and Viola Davis Quave.
The beloved wife of the late Norman D. Taylor, she is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Spell and son
Norman Taylor, daughters-in-law Lynn Taylor and Tina Taylor, son-in-law Michael Torres; nineteen
grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her husband Norman, her daughters Carolyn Fontenot and Charlotte Torres; her sons Larry
Taylor and Steve Taylor; her sons-in-law Jady Spell and Jason Fontenot. Also, preceded in death by four
brothers: John “Horace”, Harvey, Joseph “Cotton”, Earl Steve Quave and four sisters: Rachael Holliday,
Jessie-Mae Lester, Velma Wilson and Betty Quave.
She lived the majority of her life in the Lee Road Community where she was a hairdresser for many
years. She spent every day worshiping the Lord and lived a rich life because of her family. Over the
years she made many great friends in her love of church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 noon on Friday,
November 11, 2022 at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy 1081, Covington, LA 70435. Visiting hours
at the church will begin at 10:00 am.
Interment at Barker-McManus Cemetery will immediately follow services.
