Linda Darlene Matteson

Linda Darlene Matteson, aged 72, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025. Born on April 29, 1952, in Bamberg, Germany and a native of Soso, Mississippi, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Linda leaves behind her cherished children: Daniel Denney and his wife Denia, Christopher Matteson and his wife Marissa Matteson-Atilano, and Valerie Matteson. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Cecilia Matteson-Atilano, Chelsea Matteson, Tyler Denney, Chris Alvarado, Kristina Estrada, and Kyle Estrada, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aubree Estrada-Watt and Memphis Estrada.

Linda was known for her deep love of family, often spending time with her loved ones, spoiling her furchild, Roux, and her grandfurchild, Vinnie. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Robin Lee Matteson.

She is also remembered by her brother, David Moore, and her sister, Judy Mosely. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robin, her brother, Larry Moore, as well as her parents, father, David Moore, and her mother, Frances Moore.

A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Linda Darlene Matteson's warmth and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
