Linda Dash Martin

Linda Dash Martin passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the age of 76, surrounded by her family and friends. Linda was the loving wife of Henry Martin for 59 years.  She was raised in New Orleans and was a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish. 

Linda was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her 3 children and 10 grandchildren.  She enjoyed meeting up with friends for breakfast daily at the local donut shop, playing cards, and hanging out in the lazy river while on vacation, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was the executive assistant at Gulf Island Seafood for over 40 years and enjoyed volunteering at JF Gauthier Elementary School back in the 80’s. 

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Julia Mae Boteler and Anthony Nolan Duffy as well as her sister Patsy Plessala.  She is also survived by her children, Stephen (Denise), Donna (Marshall) and Darren (Jill); grandchildren, Sean (Nikki), Jennifer, Stephanie, Nicholas, Alison, Jamie, Ashton, Landon, Owen, and Graham; great grandchildren, Payton and Kyler; sisters Judy Lunt and Brenda Cheramie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral and a mass on Friday March 1st at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2805 Bayou Road, St Bernard, La 70085. Visitation will be from 10am-12noon followed by A Catholic Mass. Interment will follow in St Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at Gethsemane Hall located at 2825 Paris Rd, Chalmette, La 70043 from 2-5pm.
