Leonard “Lenny” Frosch was born on August 9, 1941, in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana to Newell and Margueriete Hennerichs Frosch. Leonard followed his father’s footsteps and worked at Frosch’s Barbershop (50 years) and went on to marry Mary Ann Taix. Leonard and Mary Ann shared 52 years of marriage.
Leonard enjoyed making pottery and carving ducks in his spare time. He dedicated 40 years in service to Fire Protection District Number 4. This includes his service as a volunteer fireman (1959), Secretary/treasurer MVFD (1965-1973), Assistant Fire Chief (1973-1976), Fire Chief (1976-1988), and Commissioner (1990-1999). He also served on St. Tammany Parish Library Board of Control as Vice President.
Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Newell and Margueriete Hennerichs Frosch and son Leonard “Leo” Frosch, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Taix Frosch of Mandeville, LA; son, Bryan Frosch (Joy) of Mandeville, LA; daughter, Mitzi Cole (David) of Conroe, TX; sister, Barbara Frosch Raggio (Don) of Covington, LA; three grandchildren, Justin Krentel (Michelle) of Suffolk, VA; Austin Cole of Conroe, TX; and Colton Cole of Conroe, TX along with a host of other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70435. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
