Kenneth Darrel Turner of Mandeville, Louisuana, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 10, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. He was born on July 4, 1949, in Lancaster, Kentucky. Kenneth lived a life characterized by service, love, and a deep commitment to his family and fellow veterans.

Kenneth served honorably in the Air Force, and following his military service, he dedicated himself to assisting veterans in receiving their benefits. This was not just a job for Kenneth; it was a passion that reflected his desire to give back to those who served their country. His involvement with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) highlighted his commitment to his fellow veterans, where he not only provided assistance but also contributed to community events, such as the weekly BINGO gatherings that brought joy to many.

Kenneth loved nothing more than spending quality time with his beloved wife, Amanda E. Tatum. The couple shared countless memories, including fishing trips that brought them both joy until he was no longer able to partake. Kenneth also enjoyed transforming their living room into a cozy movie space, where they could relax and enjoy films together, strengthening the bond they shared.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Amanda, and his loving daughters, Jessica Gilstrap, and Amber Lopez. Kenneth's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Max, Ethan, Nathan, and Gavin, who will undoubtedly carry forward the values he instilled in them. He is also survived by his sister, Susan L. Scherbauer, and brother, Michael Turner, whose lives have been deeply enriched by his presence.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd B. Turner and D. Christine Wuebben, who surely welcomed him into their arms.

 His contributions to his community, his unwavering support for veterans, and his deep love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Kenneth Darrel Turner will be profoundly missed but always cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
