Kelley Gene Woodward

Kelley Woodward, age 58, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1965, in Louisiana.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Peggy Joyce Woodward and brother, Aramon. Survived by his partner Kerri Perry of 10 years; sister, Ivey Jean Aldridge and husband Steve; brothers, Kevin Woodward , Barry Woodward and wife Antoinette, Gary Woodward and wife Tammy, Allen Woodward, and wife Phyllis, Kenneth Woodward and wife Nola; sister, Amy McKinney and husband Matt, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. 

Kelley was a devoted father to his five children: Savannah, Nicholas, Presley, Maggie, and Vivian. He also had the joy of becoming a grandfather.

He attended Parkway High School and Bossier Parish Community College. He eventually went on to have a successful career at Lumen Technologies. Kelley was known for his hard work and dedication to his job, always striving to provide for his family.

Outside of work, Kelley was a compassionate individual who dedicated his time to various causes. He was a frequent blood donor, knowing the importance of giving back to his community. Kelley was also a church activist, finding solace in his faith and the community it provided. In his free time, he volunteered at the animal shelter, showing his love for all creatures big and small.

With Kelley's sudden passing he will leave behind a legacy of love and kindness that will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and cherished by all who were lucky enough to have known him.
