Kathryn Sharp

Kathryn “Kathy” McLain Sharp passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the early age of 61. She was the youngest daughter of late James E. McLain Sr. and Eunice J. McLain. She was born on February 9, 1961, in Covington, Louisiana and became a lifelong resident. Kathryn “Kathy” leaves behind to cherish her memories, husband of 44 years, Chris E. Sharp, three daughters, Crystal Sharp, Kimberly (Russell) Whitaker and Christina Sharp (Eric), 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, brother, James McLain Jr. and family, sister Wanda Thigpen and family, brother Rodney McLain and family, brother Jerry McLain and family, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by father James McLain Sr., mother Eunice McLain and brother, Raymond McLain. She loved working with children and spent most of her life teaching until she became sick with multiple illnesses around 2014. She spent the rest of her time with her loving family and friends at home being the strong women we all knew her to be.
She was extremely strong-willed but not only that, she was so compassionate, kind and the most caring. She would not let anything stop her from being her true self. She had a remarkable life of giving; she touched the lives of many. She will be, truly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment to immediately follow at McManus-Barker Cemetery.
