Judith Antoinette Nastasi Simoneaux

Judith “Judy” Antoinette Nastasi Simoneaux, Age 79, Born June 14, 1943 went to her heavenly home on March 15, 2022. She was the widow of Gary Simoneaux and the daughter of the late Peter, Sr. and Mary Russo Nastasi. She was a native of New Orleans, residing in Morgan City, Metairie, and lived her remaining years as resident of Lacombe.

Judy was the beloved mother of son, Paul J. Nastasi (Christie) and loving grandmother of Gabriel, Giovanna and Gian. She is survived by her sister, Angela Lasher (Hudson), sisters-in-law, Pamela Waite Nastasi and Adeline Kelly Nastasie, including numerable nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Simoneaux, her parents, Peter Nastasi, Sr. and Mary Russo Nastasi, her brothers; Peter Nastasi, Jr., Joseph C. Nastasi, Leo Nastasi (Rose), Jacob Nastasi, Sr. (survived by Ann), sisters; Catherine Corso (Vincent) and Andi Cangelosi (survived by Robert); also beloved nephew Peter Nastasi, IV and her precious infant granddaughter, Sophia Nastasi.

A Catholic Mass was held on June 11, 2022 at St. Angela Merici Church in Metairie with FR. Beau Charbonnet presiding and assisted by Rev. Nicholas Chetta (Who also married Judy and Gary). This was followed by burial services in Metairie Cemetery.
