Joycelyn Bird Drum

Joycelyn Grace Bird Drum of Covington, Louisiana, spent her final moments peacefully in her home surrounded by family and close friends on July 30, 2024 at the age of 86. 

Joycelyn leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her son Randell Drum (Jonie), her beloved grandchildren; Heather (Preston), Jessica (David), Joshua (Wendy), Crystal (Matthew) and Justin (Nicole). She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren Dara, Destiny, Anthony, Brie, Cassidy, Lacey, Trey, Sebastian, River, Arden, Aiden; two great great-grandchildren Willow, Adam, and sister-in-law Joyce Bird. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Orey R. and Thelma Clavier Bird, her loving husband Henry Bert Drum, her son Ronald Drum and brother Donald J. Bird, Sr.

Joycelyn worked many years for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and enjoyed quilting, attending church, painting, pottery, and most of all spending time with her family. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Traditions Hospice care for helping make her comfortable. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at The Pentecostals of Lee Road 17700 LA- Hwy 40 Covington, Louisiana.
