Joyce Rector

Joyce Rector entered into eternal rest and peace on Sunday evening, November 15, 2015, in the comfort of her home in Covington LA. She was born in Berwick LA 88 years ago and has been a resident of St. Tammany Parish since 1945. In addition to being a loving mother and wife; she was a beautician, an avid bowler, and a member of the VFW and Ladies Progressive Club.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth "Red" Rector; of Bland MO and her parents, Cornelius Auenson and Flavia Orgeron. She is survived by her son, Daniel Rector; her brother Octave "Bubba" James Auenson; and her two sisters, Cornelia "DeeDee" Fontz and Jeanette A. Morrill.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life which will be held on Friday, November 20th, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington LA 70435. Visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Abita Springs Cemetery #1.
