Josephine Prescia DiFulco

Josephine Prescia DiFulco passed away peacefully in her sleep on her 90th birthday Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph DiFulco, her parents, Jake and Mary Palermo Prescia, and stepmother, Jenny Messina Prescia, as well as three siblings, Elizabeth Trombatore, Joseph Prescia and Congetta DiBuno. She is survived by her children Geraldine Duquette (Steve), Frank (Jeannine) and Mary (Andrew) Brignac as well as grandchildren Maria DiFulco Davis (Brian) and Joshua Brignac. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends from Incarnate Word, St. Matthew, and St. Agnes parishes. Josephine enjoyed gardening, baking her famous Italian cookies, crocheting, reading and spending time with her four-legged companions at her side and in the way (Lady, Gracie, Dusty, Bear, Carly, Luca, Jolie, Kaylee, Daisy, Chrissy, Freckles and Sasha). Josephine especially loved spending time with her family with her home cooked meals and desserts. Our family wishes to thank those who cared for Josephine as her health declined: caregiver Rebecca, Nurses Registry Home Health – especially Sarah & Cheryl, therapists Laurie and Courtney, the staff at East Jefferson and Colonial Oaks Living Center.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on February 24, 2025 at St. Agnes Catholic Church (https://stagnesjefferson.org/) 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson LA, 70121. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Private Interment will follow the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations and Masses for Josephine to St. Agnes Catholic Church preferred.
