Joseph Cauvin

Joseph Stanley Cauvin died on Thursday, November 11, 2021.  He was 85 years old.  Mr. Cauvin was born in New Orleans, LA., and was a resident of Mandeville, LA.

Beloved husband of Cynthia White Cauvin.  Son of the late Sidney L. Cauvin, Sr., and Hilda Hubert Cauvin.  Brother of the late Sidney L. Cauvin, Jr.  Father of Dayan Cauvin McGrew (Ric), Christy Cauvin, Cara Cauvin Schwall (Mike), and Andri Cauvin Riley (Paul).  Stepfather of Stacy Palazzo Hein (John), Stephen Palazzo (Christina), and Michael Palazzo (Alicia).  He had 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Mr. Cauvin was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and Tulane University, and did post graduate studies at Rutgers University.  He was a senior member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers.  He worked in engineering and management positions at the NASA Michoud Facility, American Cyanamid Company, Avondale Industries, I.T. Corporation, and Textron Marine.  He served in the Air Force Reserve.  Mr. Cauvin was a Manresa Captain for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, La. 70435, Friday November 19, 2021 at 12:00, followed by a service at 2:00.
