John Wesley Martin, Sr. was born on December 15, 1955, in Tylertown, Mississippi, and departed this life on March 20, 2025, in Folsom, Louisiana at the age of 69. He leaves behind a legacy that is marked kindness, faith, and love for his family and friends.

John was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose warm presence and kind spirit touched the lives of many. His generosity of heart was evident to all who crossed his path, for he had the unique ability to make friends effortlessly; anyone who met him could be assured they had found a lifelong companion. John truly believed that everyone he met could easily become a friend for life. His warm smile and generous spirit were the hallmarks of a man who loved deeply. He held a deep love for his church family, placing his faith in the Lord at the core of his life. This relationship with the Lord guided him and filled him with purpose.

Known for his passions, John cherished the time spent hunting and fishing. However, the most treasured moments were those spent with his children and grandchildren, where laughter and love reigned supreme. His fondness for family gatherings and shared experiences painted the canvas of his life with joy and connection.

Surviving John are his devoted spouse, Pamela S. Passman Martin, and his children: Chad Freeman and wife Crystal, Brad Freeman and wife Denise, Wesley Martin, Jr. and wife Trina, and Chris Martin. He was also a proud grandfather to Brandie Causey and husband Vinny, Trevor Freeman, Brittany Freeman and her boyfriend Ben, Sierra Martin, Kaitlyn McKay and Bubba Moak. Furthermore, he delighted in the joy of being a great-grandfather to Asher Murchison and Tommy Hodges.

He is remembered fondly by his siblings who survive him: Donna and husband Mike, Floyd Wesley Martin and wife Kathy, Steve Martin and wife Wendy, Diana and husband Darryl, and Scotty and wife Christina.

John was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wesley Martin, and his mother, Eva Mae Sandifer Martin. He also mourned the loss of his siblings: Danny Martin, Darryl Sandifer, David Sandifer, and Debbie Boyd, as well as his son, Lee Adam Passman, and step-mother Dorothy Martin.

John Wesley Martin, Sr. will be profoundly missed but remembered with love and admiration by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. He touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
