John Ulysses Beauvais

John Ulysses Beauvais, fondly known as "Butsy," passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on September 2, 1935. John lived a life filled with simple joys and cherished moments.

John was a loving husband to Nellene Spiers Beauvais, who predeceased him. He was also the son of Floyd and Lucille Beauvais. John had a passion for travel with his late brother Joseph Floyd Beauvais. He liked to take scenic trips with his family to try new restaurants. One of his favorite places was the Country Kitchen, where he became a daily fixture, his friends became his extended family.

Family meant everything to John. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Marie Beauvais (Kenneth Bayard) and Diana Decareaux Russo (Tommy). John took great pride in being a Paw Paw to Danielle Eyre (Mark), Kevin Russo (Amanda), and Christina Gioe (Jonathan). His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Mark Eyre "Chip," Thomas Eyre, Matthew Eyre, Eleanor Eyre, and Isabella Russo.

John Ulysses Beauvais will be remembered for his love of life, his travels, and the time he spent with those he cherished. He touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held on February 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home located at 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.
