Jerry Arnold

Jerry, aged 71, passed away at his home in Slidell on Thursday, December 1, 2022, after a valiant 7-year fight against blood cancer. He was born on May 9, 1951 in New Orleans to Alfred Joseph Arnold, Sr. and Evelyn Chandler Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Faye Galland Arnold, two daughters Tammy Ensminger (Chad) and Tracy Henry (Stewart), two grandchildren Avery and Cole, and two step-grandchildren Brayden and Jayden. He is also survived by his brothers Alfred (A.J.) Arnold, Jr. (Gail), Randy Arnold (Jill), and a sister Barbara McGibbon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ricky Arnold. A special mention for deceased family he had a great fondness for, his Aunt Eva Chandler Ripoll and her husband Wallace "Bubby" Ripoll. Jerry graduated from Holy Cross High School and spent five years in the US Coast Guard Reserves during the Vietnam War Era. He worked for UPS for over 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed acting and other roles in the local movie industry and participated in the 48 Hour NOLA Film Project. He also loved music and had an extensive classic rock record collection. Jerry will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and love of a good meal. He was most especially proud of his two daughter’s accomplishments in their academic, professional, and personal lives. Lastly, a fond farewell goes to his fellow ROMEO’s. The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Allen Calabresi, MD, Oncology Specialist, and the nurses and
staff at both Tulane and Slidell Memorial.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Services in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437 (Lee Rd), Covington, LA 70435, on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00a.m. with a prayer given by Clergy Boudreaux  at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests blood or plasma donation to your local Blood Bank or a contribution to any Animal Rescue.
