Jean Starnes Fairburn of passed away on December 24, 2016 at the age of 73. Jean was a native of Covington and a resident of Baton Rouge for many years. Jean was born deaf, a twin and a mother of two. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Virgil Fairburn of Covington, Louisiana, and by 4 sisters, Mary Luper (husband Carl), Melvalee Taylor (husband Red), Deanie Stockstill (ex-husband Dewight), Nell Bates (husband Howard), She is survived by her children Peggy Sue Starnes of Louisiana and Virgil Ray Fairburn of Florida. Also, survived by her twin sister Joan Starnes, Mabel Chaney (husband Stanley), Brothers- James Starnes (wife Betty), William Starnes (wife Barbara), Lark Starnes. She is survived by several Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, a celebration of her life, on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 am, in the chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA. Friends may call after 10:00am. Committal services will be private
