Janice Munson

Janice Lafaye Munson peacefully entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Janice was born in New Orleans March 10, 1926. A native of New Orleans, she lived in Mandeville for the past 17 years. Wife of the late Glendy John Munson, Jr. and daughter of the late Henry Ashton Lafaye and Anna Gagnet Lafaye and sister to Jean Lafaye Toca, Jackie Lafaye Stouse and the late Anne Lafaye Dufour and Lynn Lafaye Duncan.

Janice is survived by her six children, Marion Munson Britsch (Ronnie), Glendy Munson III (Connie), Claudia Munson, Ashton Munson, Jan Munson and Liz Munson. Grandmother to Kathryn Britsch Romano (Chip), Graham Doyle (Cameron), Shawn Doyle (Thyme), Ron Britsch (Carrey), Beth Mayer (Barry), Casey Munson (Lindsay), Margaret Munson Eagle (Andy) and Caroline Munson Robertson (Wesley).

Great grandmother to Jack and Drew Romano, Shawn, Maggie and Brady Doyle, Jake and Rylie Doyle, William and Aubry Britsch, Fischer, Carolina and Ford Munson, Conner, Cameron and Caroline Eagle, Elizabeth Robertson and Evan and Ashley Mayer.

Janice attended Holy Name of Jesus and Mercy Academy. Upon graduation from Soule’ College she worked at New Orleans Public Service before starting her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Lake, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 12 Noon. Visitation at church from 10am until time of service.
