Janice L. Carneal

Janice L. Carneal of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 75.

Janice arrived on a snow storm day in Kansas City on December 30, 1949. Later on, her and her family moved to Memphis, to where she grew a love for dance, tap and ballet. She attended Lausanne School for girls learning to read well in the first grade. Her love of reading led her to a home full of magazines and books that she read daily.

As a teen, she had a love for animals, she was always in the saddle and rode through the meadows among horses and cattle.

After graduating White Station High School, she attended Patricia Stevens Modeling and Business School, to which she loved so much. She continued on with her business degree at Cole Manufacturing and Dyke Industries learning how to work with computers.

As time went on she continued to grow, and gave generously to charities and churches. She worked for Fayette Cares tending to those in need.

Janice was always glad to enjoy a joke and laugh, sometimes if she knew one that was amazing, she would be so proud.

Janice also had a love for music, to which she sang with passion and love in the Church Choir, had a love for old movies, to which she could recite every line, enjoyed playing Bingo and was a proud member of The Bogalusa Senior Center.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her brother Jim and sister-in-law Sheila Lowery as well as her beloved fiancé Anthony “Ace” J. Flaspoller Jr. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Dorothy Lowery.

A private service for Janice will be held at a later date.
