James Edward Wilkins, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He was born on November 19, 1946 in Covington, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of St. Tammany parish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Ann Wilkins and his parents, Houston and Vesta Wilkins. He is survived by his children, James Wilkins (Sherry), Gina Taylor (Sean), Chad Wilkins (Christine), and Jessica Crasto (Chris), and his grandchildren, Amanda and Emily Wilkins, Gianna Taylor, and Luca Wilkins, and Anna and Adele Crasto. Visitation will be held at Red Bluff Baptist Church, 15204 Highway 1078, Folsom, Louisiana 70437 on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 9:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to consider a donation to the WMU Foundation/Gail Wilkins Memorial Scholarship, 100 Missionary Ridge, Birmingham, Alabama 35242.
