James Michael Rogers

James Michael Rogers, born on April 10, 1965, departed from this world on July 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

James is survived by his wife, Donna Hinkle, who stood by his side through thick and thin. James was a loving father to his two daughters, Casey (Brant) Granger and Meagan (Aaron) Faulk. His daughters were the light of his life, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.

As a proud "Pappy," James adored his four grandchildren, Beau, Finley, Millie, and Eloise. Their laughter and joy brought immense happiness to his heart.

James was the son of Betty and Morris Rogers, who provided him with unwavering love and support throughout his life. He leaves behind his caring brother Chris (Melanie) Rogers and a beloved uncle to their four children, Hannah, Luke, Cade, and Steele.

Known for his kind and generous nature, James had a heart that overflowed with compassion. He had a special gift for bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. With a quick wit and jokes, he could brighten any room and lighten the hearts of others.

Tragically, James battled with alcoholism, a fight that ultimately claimed his life. In sharing James's story, we hope to inspire others who may be facing similar struggles. Addiction is a formidable adversary, but it is never too late to seek help and find hope. Let us remember James's journey as a reminder that healing and recovery are possible.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at St. Tammy Parish Hospital. Their dedication and care provided comfort and support during James's final days. Their kindness will always be remembered.

A celebration of life will be August 31st. Time and location will be announced at a later date. Care has been entrusted to Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington, LA.
