James Charles Perea Jr. passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 13, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jimmy brought light, laughter, and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jimmy was the devoted husband of Rhonda Robichaux Perea, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was the proud father of Ryan Perea (Heather), Jacy Perea, and Gregg Perea (Monica), and the cherished grandfather of Harper Perea and Audrielle Ordonez-Perea. He also leaves behind his dear siblings, Lynn Springman (Lloyd) and Keith Perea. In addition he leaves behind his special in-laws, Meleah Robichaux Foreman (James), Reggie Robichaux (Jeanne), Amy Robichaux, Greg Robichaux (Rhonda), along with several nieces and nephews. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents, James Charles Perea Sr. and Ann Perea.

Known as the life of the party, Jimmy’s presence could light up any room. His storytelling was legendary, capturing the hearts of friends and family alike. Jimmy’s passion for metalwork and building was unmatched, and he turned that passion into a lifelong career. After years of dedication as a ship superintendent and executive with Dixie Machine in New Orleans, he achieved his dream of founding his own business, Isabel Machine and Fabrication.

Jimmy’s legacy will live on in the memories of his family and friends, in the stories he shared, and in the countless lives he touched. His love, laughter, and larger-than-life spirit will forever be missed.
