James Wallace King “Jimmy” passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2016 from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his most loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Lois Maxie King; daughter Karla King (Robert Sherman), son Eric King (Micky), son Joseph “Joey” King (Susan), and daughter Rhonda Hopkins (Glen). Paw Paw Jimmy has 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is also survived by his stepchildren, Ron Willette, Debbi Cooper (Gary), 4 step grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son James Wallace King II and stepson Keith Willette.  Jimmy was born November 14, 1933 and was the oldest of 5 children born to Wallace King and Gladys Fitzmorris King.  His beloved siblings are Larry King, Wanda Davis, Sylvia Karp, and Ray King (Claire).  Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Covington and worked residential and commercial construction.  He was a much loved member and volunteer of Shepard’s Care Church.  He served in the United States Army in Korea in the early 1950’s.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Shepard’s Care Church on Saturday, September 24 at 2:30 pm. visitation beginning at 12:00, noon.  Interment will take place at Barker’s Cemetery following the service.  Family and friends are invited back to Shepard’s Care for food, drinks and fellowship.

The family would like to thank his nurse Amy Thompson and aides Dee and Frances. Also, to all of the friends and family that helped Lois to keep Jimmy comfortably at home during his last months – a sincere We Love You!
