James "Jimmy" Alexander Kenmure, Jr. passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the age of 73. He was a proud lifetime resident of Bucktown, LA and was a beloved member of the East End Volunteer Fire Department. He worked as a commercial fisherman for most of his life and enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially watching the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers football teams.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Alexander Kenmure, Sr. and Irene Butscher Kenmure, as well as his sisters Irene K. Hebert, Patricia "Patsy" K. Pitfield, Jacquelyn "Jackie" K. Wack, Estelle K. Hamilton and his brother Robert "Bobby" G. Kenmure.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Robert F. Wack, his sister-in-law, Cheryl Breaux Kenmure, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 1609 Carrollton Avenue, Metairie, LA on Monday, November 8, 2021. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30am to Noon, and Mass will begin at Noon. Following Mass, inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
