James (Jim) Dudley Fauntleroy

James (Jim) Fauntleroy passed away Saturday July 1, 2023, at the age of 80 years old. Jim was born in Madisonville, Louisiana on March 10, 1943, to Aswell and Lattell Fauntleroy. Jim married Paula Dutruch in 1962. 

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Aswell and Lattell Fauntleroy, His siblings Darrell Fauntleroy and Linda Tinney. 

He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Paula Dutruch Fauntleroy, his children Brent (Kalinda) Fauntleroy and Janene (Wilson) Bulloch. His 5 grandchildren, LeEllen Candies (Jon), Sara Overmier (Zeb), Cole Fauntleroy (Shayna), Brody Bulloch (Brianna), and Grace Bulloch, and 4 great grandchildren, James and Raegan Fauntleroy, and Ezra and Nora Overmier, with one great granddaughter on the way.

He retired from the LA DOTD after 50 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, baling hay, & spending time with his family. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday 9:30 am at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery 20116 LA-1081, Covington, Louisiana 70435.  

The service will be followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends at the Family Ministry Center at New Zion Church.

In lieu of flowers any gifts can be made to the New Zion Church Lunch Ministry.
