James Adam Jackson, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 85. Born on May 18, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, James lived a life filled with love and countless cherished memories.
As the owner of Anita Grill for many years, James dedicated himself to providing not just food, but a welcoming atmosphere that brought people together. His establishment was a gathering place for friends and family alike, where laughter and good food mingled, leaving lasting impressions in the hearts of all who visited.
James also proudly served in the Army Reserve, and embraced interests that brought him joy, such as metal detecting and enjoying trips to Mississippi in his later years, adventures that manifested his zest for life and the thrill of discovery.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory. His devoted spouse, Patricia Clerc Jackson, stood by his side through all of life's seasons, sharing a bond that was a beacon of support and love. James’s legacy continues through his children: Cathy J. Hocke, J. Craig Jackson (Rhonda) and Ken Hocke . His grandchildren, Brittany Hocke, Reese Hocke, and Sadie Issa (Andrew), carry his spirit with them, each uniquely touched by the warmth of his love.
James is now reunited with his parents, James C. Jackson and Anna Julie Uzee Jackson, whose guidance and love shaped the man he became.
Visitation services will be held on December 19, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 501 Holy Trinity Dr. Mandeville, LA 70471. A Mass celebrating his life will follow at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A private burial to follow.
James Adam Jackson's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a reminder of the joy found in simple moments, the strength of family, and the importance of community. He will be deeply missed but always remembered with love and affection.
