James Carter

James Theodore (Ted) Carter of Goodbee, Louisiana, after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma passed away at 11:13 am in his home on Friday, January 11th.  He was born in New Orleans to Glen and Kathleen (Lancaster) Carter. He was married for 52 years to his loving wife Betty Baumann.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962.  After working in Finance he was a Salesman for over 35 years.  He is survived by his wife, Betty, his children, Ted (Nicole) Carter, Elizabeth (Scott) Jones,  Tim ( Angela) Carter, and Stephanie (Glynn) Johnson, His Grandchildren, Madeline, Kyle and Grace Jones, Adam Carter, Laurette, Glynn Jr and Carter Johnson, his Sister, Bonnie (Ronnie) Bicocchi, His Brother-in-law, Raymond (Mary) Baumann, Sister-in-laws, Marie Mauer, and Susan (Archie) Norris and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Kathleen (Lancaster) Carter, His Sisters, Kathy Haydel, and Jody Carter, Brother-in-laws, Norman Haydel, and Paul Mauer and his Grandson, Timothy Michael Carter Jr. Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Abbey On Wednesday January 16, 2019 with Mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery with a gathering to follow at the Family home of Betty Carter. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thanks to the many friends and family that showed support to our family during his time of illness.  Ted/Dad/Grandad will forever be in our hearts.
