Jade Cleaveland Ledet passed away peacefully at 6:43am on July 4th 2021 in New Orleans. She passed to be with our Lord at the age of 47. Jade was born on March 14th 1974 in Poole, England. Jade lived a joyful and worthy life with her husband of 21 years; Randy Ledet and her 3 strong, caring and intelligent children Christopher (22), Brandon (18), and Victoria (13) Ledet. A devoted mother and loving wife, she also made many sacrifices by helping her mother Sinia Guzman McDonald raise her younger siblings Justin, Peter, Paul and Sarah Cleaveland. She worked tirelessly and diligently with empathy for sick patients as a medical assistant.
Jade was very creative and innovative, as well as incredibly generous and a thoughtful person, she was always thinking of others. Her extensive knowledge and wisdom impacted those close to her which enabled her to build a strong bond with her family and friends. She wasn’t just a daughter, a sister, cousin, niece or colleague, but a friend, a counselor, a confidant and a mediator, she was the voice of reason for many. She helped many through tough times and her smile and contagious laughter could light up any room. As the hostess of many good memories she will be lovingly remembered by all those who survived her; her husband and his family, 3 children, mother, her 5 siblings, her cousins, aunts and uncles, her grandmother Sinia Trochez de Guzman, grandfather Peter Cleaveland as well as her friends and colleagues.
The family gives special thanks to Ochsner Hospitals’ medical team and Passage Hospice who cared for her until the end. Also, a special thanks to her working and loving family at Uptown Nephrology.
There was a time when our thoughts and photographs weren’t just memories, and now she will forever live on in our hearts.
