In Loving Memory of Jack Wayne Gillikin, Sr.

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Jack Wayne Gillikin, Sr., passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on November 19, 1953 in Tampa, FL, the son of the late Norman Decatur Gillikin and Anna Rodriguez Mills. He lived in New Orleans and was a long-time resident of Slidell, LA. Jackie, as so many knew him, was a
pillar of strength and a source of kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts.

Jack was a devoted husband to his bride of 52 years, Patricia Gillikin, a loving father to his only son, Jack Wayne Gillikin, Jr., and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Jack Wayne Gillikin, III and Kendall Elaine Gillikin. He was a beloved brother of Anita (Buddy) Peter, Jeannie (Butch) Deyo, Darlene Taylor, Sherry (Bill) Thibodeaux, Norman Brine (Tracie) Gillikin, Chad (Judy) Gillikin, Ty (Tracy) Gillikin, and Mary Gillikin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Ruth Stefanakis, and his brothers, David Gillikin, Sr., Jerry Taylor, and Norman D. Gillikin, Jr. His memory will forever be held dear by a host of beloved nieces and nephews and many friends, whose lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom.

from 1-4 p.m. at 3288 Rama Street, Slidell, LA.
