Henry Edler

Henry Edler Jr passed away with his loving family by his side on November 5, 2018 at the age of 69, and a resident of Covington, LA. Henry is preceded in death by his parents Henry Antoine Edler Sr. and Elise Burghard Edler, and his oldest son Ashley Michael Edler. He is survived by his loving wife Manya Vicknair Edler, A Son Dr. Casey Paul Edler. sisters Roswitha Edler Charek and Mary A. Edler.

Henry served in U.S. Army, he was an Amputee, where he received, a Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam campaign medal with Device 60, Vietnam service metal, National defense service medal, Sharpshooter badge, First class badge, and Good Conduct Medal, was a member of the VFW Post 3337, Laplace, LA. and St Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus. His interest was of gardening, detailing cars, learning about others, helping anyone who allowed him and the joy of a walking with his dog "Charlie" and caring for his family.

A funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph Abbey,75376 River Rd, St Benedict, LA. on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm with a Visitation at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home,75212 Hwy 437, Covington, LA. 70435 from 11:30 to 1:30 pm, the VFW will have a service at !:00 pm before going to St Joseph Abbey for mass, a Graveside Service on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham  College Road, Slidell LA. with Military Honors.
