Early on the morning of April 12; 2021 Harvey Joseph Ford left a grieving family and joined his Lord and Savior in eternal rest.
Harvey was born March 10, 1936 to John William and Annie Louise Ford in Washington D.C. They relocated by way of Algiers, La to Franklin ,La where he attended Hanson High School and then on to LSU, Florida State and Ga. Tech where he completed all the course work for a PhD.
Harvey was predeceased by his beloved first wife, Margaret Pauline Luke, the mother of their six children, Anne, John, Christine, Matthew, Thomas, and Harvey, Jr. (Josh). Harvey was a proud Engineer and renowned for his intelligence and witty humor. He loved Jazz, playing in several groups as the drummer. Later he took up Motocross and was a force to be reckoned with. His engineering work took him to many parts of the world including, Europe, Asia, Australia, Japan, Russia, Israel, and South America. In 1975 he took on two new family members, wife of 46 years; Patricia Anne Gill and her daughter, Katherine Hinson. And now they were 9! Harvey was a wonderful person with wit, brilliance, and a great humor. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Covington, Louisiana. He loved his Lord, Jesus Christ with whom he now resides, fully restored in mind and body.
Harvey is survived by his loved wife, seven children, six grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Two beloved sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Harvey was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
