Guy Helmer entered the gates of Heaven on July 5, 2014. Son of the late George P. Helmer III and Thelma Boudreaux Helmer. Husband of Deidra Helmer. Brother of Rouge Helmer and Georga Helmer. Brother –in-law of Lionel Salvant. Step-father of Kassidy Carrier. Paw- paw to Madelyn and Mason. Also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and dear friends. Guy was deeply committed to his God, mother, family, lifelong friends and his beloved dogs. He loved camping, snow skiing and dancing. He was an avid outdoorsman, a modern day Good Samaritan, and a role model to numerous people. Many thanks to the awesome Slidell Memorial Hospital SICU staff, doctors and especially Pastor Tanya Camper of Journey Fellowship Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, July10, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Journey Fellowship Church, 3127 Pontchartrain Dr., Slidell, LA 70458.
