Gertrude Lamar

Gertrude Duracher LaMar passed away on November 20th, 2021 at the age of 92.  She was born on Girod Street in Mandeville and lived most of her life on Lakeshore Drive . She is the Daughter of John Duracher, and Angella Cassaly.  She was married to William Edward Lamar, and the mother of two daughters; Rhonda LaMar, and Jonell Bowles.

Gertrude is the youngest of 4 Brothers and 1 sister ; Marguerite McGovern, Edward Duracher, Preacher Duracher,  Carl Duracher, and Sterling Duracher.  She is the grandmother to three grandchildren ;Jack Bowles, Nicholas Bowles and  Brandy Prevost Eschette. She has 5 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA.  Gertrude loved to take care of those who needed care.  She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and the thrill of the lights and bells at any casino.  She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.
