Gerard Laurent, Jr.
September 17, 1941 — October 11, 2014
Gerard "Jerry" Laurent, Jr., devoted husband and loving father, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home in Covington while surrounded by his family. He was 73. Jerry was born on Wednesday, September 17, 1941 to the late Audrey Manning and Gerard P. Laurent, Sr. in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Covington for the past 15 years. Always willing to help others, he will be sadly missed by family, friends, neighbors, and his beloved dog Otis.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of 56 years, Sandra Wild Laurent; his children, Lori Bodden, Jay Laurent, Henry "Hank" Laurent and Mary Laurent; his siblings, Patricia Schneider, Richard Laurent and Kerry Laurent, as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Jerry & Sandra’s residence, 1013 Jameson Place, Covington, LA 70433 from 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm.
Private internment will be held in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
