George Douglas Osbourn

George Douglas Osbourn, aged 84, passed away on October 9, 2024. George was born March 16, 1940 to the late Martin and Lonie Osbourn. He was a native of Franklinton, LA and resident of Covington, LA. George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Earline Jenkins Osbourn, and brother Robert Osbourn. He is also survived by many great neices and nephews.

George was a member of masonic Lodge #188 and a lifelong member of the Slidell and Covington Police Department Reserve Unit, both since 1966. He was Chairman of the Goodbee Fire District #13 Board for 20 years. He was owner of Osbourn Trucking since 1982. He joined the army in 1958, where he served most of his time in Mannheim, Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1965 as a Sergeant E5.

Services will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington, LA on October 16, 2024 beginning at 10AM, with interment following at Galloway Cemetery, 83136 Williams Galloway Cemetery Rd in Bush, LA.
