2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
On June 21st, 2022, God decided that He needed the best and brightest smile and big blue eyes beside him for eternity. He reached down and lifted Gene Morgan II into peace and glory.
Gene Edward Morgan II (GEM) was born on January of 1987 to Gene Morgan and Jeanne Morgan. Gem accepted Christ at an early age of 8 and had a goofy, silly and joyful spirit. He loved his family and friends with his huge heart of gold, as he would give anything to anyone, if he could. He was a hardworking contractor who could fix anything. He worked hard to provide for his family but outside of work he was all about adventure and the outdoors. Gem loved taking his kids to the park, rollerblading, playing basketball, being on or in the water, shoes (oh gosh his shoes), working on cars and building / fixing things. He had a knack for fixing something whether it was building a shoe/bookbag cubby for his children or sewing a baby boppy nursing pillow back together. He was a quick witted fixer and thinker. He loved to write, from poetry to music and all about his world in his keep sake journals. Gem was a deep soul who could have the most profound conversations and then made you burst out laughing the next second. A special man with a special smile that could light up a room.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memories to a multitude of loved ones. Gem leaves behind his wife Jamela Anthony, and his five children Caden (12), Gemma (7), Gene III (5), Giovanni (4) and Judah Morgan (1 week). His parents & siblings Gene, Jeanne, Jesilyn and Jorie-Brae Morgan. Along with so many others.
Gene Morgan II lived a good life and will forever be in our memories and hearts. The verse Gem loved the most and kept close to his heart leaves us with hope and peace.
Jeremiah 29:11 ‘“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’
