Gary Portie

Gary Paul Portie passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at his residence in Bush, LA, at the age of 66. He was born on October 23, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired letter carrier with the United States Postal Service.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Armand P. and Marian Fos Portie.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Portie; step daughter, Jennifer Messina; sister, Nancy Portie Vallaire (Warren); brother, John Pierre Portie; nieces, Angela and Elizabeth Vallairie; and great nephew, Taylor Vallaire.
Graveside services will be held at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
