Gary Paul Brouillette succumbed to a brief illness on April 28, 2024, in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on November 28, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Robert Brouillette and Lillian De Noux Brouillette. Gary attended New Orleans school St. Anthony of Padua, Sacred Heart, St. Mary of the Angels, Ninth Ward School before graduating from Marion Abramson High School in 1970. An artist with a paint brush, Gary worked as an accomplished house painter, as well as painting motion picture and television sets. He was an avid fisherman and darts player. He is survived by sister Fay Brauner Weilbaecher and nephews Kurt, Kyle and Scott Weilbaecher. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leo Brauner, Jr., Earl Brouillette, Roland Brouillette, Clarence Brouillette and sisters Leona Brouillette and Pearl Brouillette. A quiet man, a favorite cousin in his large extended family, Gary was well known for his passion for Spider-Man comics in the 1960s, so much he was called Spidey.
